Monique Muskens is a professional hair and make-up artist for Film and Television. She spent her first year out of high school at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), studying a Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services). After fast and raging success, she went on to develop her skills in Paris, France, studying Traditional French Hairdressing. Her passion for the arts has grown with her, as she continues to develop her creativity, skills, and enthusiasm from a young age.
Mon is adaptable to all environments, being qualified in Film, Television, Theatre, and Bridal makeup, while also offering both hairdressing and wig styling. She is up to date with the latest trends, products, ingredients, and manufacturing processes, meaning you are guaranteed expertise with an eye for detail.
Since graduating, she quickly flourished in the film industry, working with the multimillion-dollar production company, Disney’s Marvel Studios on Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as Australian productions like Foxtel’s The Twelve, Channel 7’s Home and Away, Warner Bro’s The Bachelors, and Neon Film’s The Royal Hotel. She has worked on countless short films, music videos, and TV series, as well as high-end E-comm shoots. She has experience with television commercials, documentaries, and reality television. Outside of the film industry, she has taken charge of the makeup crew on large-scale Theatre productions, worked on award-winning fashion shows, and collaborated with up-and-coming models and photographers.
The power of makeup is transformative, it has the ability to deceive, encouraging the human brain to believe in the beauty and magic of semblance.
